Every game mode in Star Wars Galactic Racer
All confirmed Star Wars Galactic Racer modes: the runs-based solo campaign, Arcade time trials, Scenarios, 12-player online multiplayer, and podracing events.

Fuse Games has confirmed a spread of modes across two official trailers. This page separates what has been announced from what is still vague. It is drawn from first-party trailers only.
Solo campaign (runs-based)
The headline mode. You play as Shade, working up through the Galactic League to unseat its corrupt champion, Kestar Bool. It is structured as a runs-based campaign: you pick between branching events, choices are permanent, and crashing out too often forces a fresh run with only some perks carried over.
This is the mode with the most confirmed detail, and it has its own page — see story and campaign for the full structure, the paddock, and Hibi’s workshop.
Arcade mode
Arcade is where you go for skill-focused, bite-sized racing outside the story:
- Time trials — race the clock.
- Precision driving challenges — hit specific targets and lines.
- Podracing from the start — you do not have to reach a campaign milestone to podrace. Arcade lets you jump straight into podracers as soon as you begin playing.
The Deluxe Edition adds three Arcade events built specifically around its exclusive Kor Sarun vehicles, with target times to beat. Those are covered on our editions page.
Scenarios mode
Scenarios is described as a set of unique events and challenges that test your racing against specific goals — distinct from Arcade’s time-and-precision focus. Fuse Games has not detailed individual scenarios yet, so treat this as a confirmed mode with unconfirmed contents.
Online multiplayer
Confirmed details:
- Up to 12 players per race.
- A progression layer: “climb the ranks, challenge rivals, and shape your path as an elite racer.”
- Podracer-focused online events — called out separately in the Story Trailer as a first for the series.
- Press coverage from Summer Game Fest highlighted a “grudge match” mode as a standout, consistent with the campaign’s rivalry framing.
Aggressive contact is part of the design. The creative director, an ex-Criterion (Burnout) developer, confirmed that “rubbin’” is viable: “It’s okay to give people a bit of a smash.” So expect multiplayer to reward takedowns, not just clean lines.
What is not confirmed
- Whether multiplayer is ranked-only or has casual playlists.
- Split-screen or local multiplayer support.
- The specific platform combinations, party rules, and cross-progression policy. Steam now lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer, but it does not publish that implementation detail; see our cross-platform status guide.
- The number of Scenarios, and whether they expand post-launch.
We will fill these in as Fuse Games and Secret Mode confirm them, each with a source. For the vehicles you will take into these modes, see the vehicles hub; for the campaign, story and campaign.
Launch is October 6, 2026 — details on the release date page.
