When does Star Wars Galactic Racer release?

October 6, 2026. Fuse Games and Secret Mode announced the date on 30 April 2026, and the Steam store page for App 4078430 carries the same date in its release field. This has been stable for three months across both first-party channels.

Platforms: what is confirmed, and what is not

This section needs care, because a lot of sites — including an earlier version of this page — list console platforms that no official source has announced.

Confirmed:

  • PC. The official pre-order post says plainly that the game “will be coming to PC on October 6th,” and describes the two pre-order editions as being “available to pre-order today for PC.” One of the pre-order bonuses, an orange Livery, is called out as “exclusive to PC pre-orders.” Steam reports Windows support.

Not confirmed by any official source:

  • PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch 2. No Fuse Games or Secret Mode announcement names any console. We previously listed all three here; that was not sourced, and it has been removed.

Two details make consoles plausible without confirming them, and it is worth being precise about the difference. The Steam page carries a Cross-Platform Multiplayer category tag, which normally implies more than one platform. And the Collector’s Edition is a physical product with a steel case, which is unusual for a PC-only release. Neither of those is an announcement. If consoles are announced, this page gets the platform list and the source on the same day.

Price and editions

The Steam store page lists $59.99 for the standard edition. Three editions have been officially detailed:

  • Standard Edition — the base game.
  • Deluxe Edition — adds three Kor Sarun repulsorcraft, three Deluxe Arcade Events, the Deluxe Livery Pack, a Player Banner Pack, and an 80-page digital art book.
  • Collector’s Edition — the Deluxe digital content plus physical items: a metal model of the Kor Sarun Darc X landspeeder, Kestar’s Banner bearing the Bool Family Sigil, racing pilot patches for Shade and a rival racer, a printed art book, and a steel case.

Full contents are broken down on our editions page. Pre-order bonuses for both digital editions include a bonus Livery and a multiplayer Player Banner.

What else is officially confirmed about the launch build

  • NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 is confirmed to be in the game at launch, per a first-party post on 10 March 2026.
  • Online multiplayer is confirmed, alongside the story-driven solo campaign. Steam lists PvP and Online PvP categories.
  • Four vehicle classes — landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers.

Still unannounced

  • Console platforms and any console release timing.
  • Preload size and dates, and per-region unlock times.
  • Whether cross-platform play is enabled between specific platforms, despite the category tag.
  • Post-launch content plans.

How we cover the run-up to launch

This is a pre-release wiki. Between now and October 6, 2026 we add a page per racer, vehicle, and track as details firm up, tag every fact with its confirmation status, and replace projections with tested data once the game is playable. Where a claim rests on a trailer rather than a written statement, it is labelled that way.

See our beginner guide for how the game is shaping up, inside Fuse Games for who is building it, and the full guide hub for every topic.
